As the human world grows, the space for species such as lynxes shrinks.
As territorial animals, these predators make further or closer migrations in search of mates or food. The consequence of crossing their paths with human-made roads are accidents.
When confronted with speeding vehicles, lynxes usually have no chance. That is why it is so important to build appropriate infrastructure (fences, signs, animal crossings) and maintain the right speed by drivers.
The 101114131 — LIFE22-NAT-PL-LIFE LYNX PL LT DE project, under which we act, m.in for the safety of lynxes on the roads, is financed by the European Union, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the WWF Poland Foundation.
